Plenty of weather information this morning as a yellow Weather Warning has been issued for Western areas for heavy rainfall tonight and tomorrow with 35mm possible in some areas but Carlow should escape the worst thankfully.

Then it looks like the Jet Stream is going on it’s holidays for a few days and while it heads for Greenland a nice big area of high pressure builds out to East of Ireland bringing mainly dry and warm weather for the coming week once we get past tomorrow.

More later.

A lovely start to the day after a low of 2.4c at my station and it could hit 20c today with plenty of sunshine but windy so don’t forget the suncream!

Tomorrow will be a cloudy with some light drizzle or showers but the main band of rain will stay away from Carlow until tomorrow night so not too wet a day for all the communions tomorrow.

Rain then tomorrow night but it should clear by Monday morning and a mainly dry first few days next week with temps up around 20c.

‪Still 16c in the Sunny Southeast that is enjoying some nice evening sunshine after a high of 19.1c at my station today. Tomorrow could top that temp too!‬

Tomorrow will be a cracking day and it could hit 20c in Carlow with good sunshine but windy.

Sunday is looking better too with most of the rain staying out to the West as the GFS and ECMWF charts show. Cloudy though and chance of some showers, breezy and around 17c.

Risk of some rain Monday but a little uncertain yet.

Photos from the Cliffs of Moher today.

A lovey evening in Carlow and also lovely in West Clare where I took these photos just now.

Tomorrow will be another dry day in Carlow and temps around 18c, cloudy with some sunny spells breaking through later in the afternoon and evening, light Southerly breeze will increase later in the day too.

Saturday will also be dry with some sunny spells and where the sun does break through it could hit 19c, strong Southerly wind though.

Sunday still remains a little unclear but the main weather models I would rely on show the main band of rain stalling in the midlands with Carlow just seeing some showers possibly. I’ll have another update tomorrow.

Plenty of people asking about Sunday with events on, the weather system approaching Sunday has been hard to predict with different weather models showing different outcomes.

The latest charts show a better outcome in general for Carlow with the main band of rain staying out West.

There isn’t full agreement across the models though as the chart images show but it’s looking possible now that Sunday won’t be too wet in Carlow.

I’ll have another update later this evening or tomorrow morning.

In the mean time some sunny spells today with temps around 16c in a Southerly breeze.

Tomorrow will be a little milder up to 17c and some Sunny spells too in light Southerly breeze.

Saturday will be milder up to 19c is possible but winds increasing and strong Southerly wind by afternoon, some good sunny spells too.
