Well Georgina was pretty noisy last night with top gust of 108kmh at Malin Head and 83kmh at Oak Park in Carlow while my station near Tullow saw a gust of 80.6kmh.

AA roadwatch report that the Goresbridge road outside Borris is blocked due to a fallen tree.

There is also reports of debris on roads and some spot flooding. If there any issues in your area please post them in the comments below.

Storm Georgina is approaching with rain and strong gusts, Fastnet Lighthouse off the South Coast has seen a gust of 106kmh in last few minutes.

Winds in Carlow will peak between midnight and 5am with gusts up to 110kmh.

Up to 10mm of rain is expected also with some local spot flooding possible.

With waterlogged ground the rainfall will cause some local spot flooding.

Winds will gust up to 110kmh with peak gusts between 10pm and 5am.

The Carlow Town park remains closed as the Barrow is slow to drop.

A rough night ahead tonight with latest models showing strong gusts and for a prolonged period now too.

Gusts of up to 110kmh from around 10pm tonight until 5am Wednesday morning.

Strongest gusts will be off the Southeast coast.

A yellow weather Warning is in place for tonight but it could be updated later so keep an eye on forecasts.

Water levels on the River Barrow have now peaked and started to drop slowly.

Some rain is expected tonight but amounts shouldn’t be too high in Carlow, winds will increase and getting milder during the night.

Tomorrow then will be a windy damp day with some spells of rain but mostly drizzle, temps around 9c.

Some rain again tomorrow night with some heavy bursts which could cause spot flooding.

Winds will increase further then also tomorrow night with some very strong gusts from around 10pm until 2am with a Weather Warning in operation:
