Yellow weather warnings in operation today with risk of flooding in southern areas, winds will gust up to 100kmh also today.

Latest overnight charts show the two main models having a slightly different outcome for the weekend with the GFS model showing the real cold slipping more south and just catching Ireland.

While the ECMWF model has the deep cold right over Ireland, with these difference at present it means forecasting the details of the weekend is very difficult.

For now prepare for a very cold weekend with possibly some snow showers but nothing like what we saw from Storm Emma.
