-1.5c at my station near Tullow with a lovely clear crisp morning on show on my webcams but take it easy on the roads.
Reminder that there is a weather advisory in place for tomorrow for strong winds and heavy rain.
Beyond that it now looks pretty certain we will see a cold weekend with snow showers!
St Patricks Day will be cool with some sleet showers which may turn to snow later in the day, Sunday will see an increase in showers which are likely to be snow with very cold air over Ireland, Monday looks the same.
Just to be clear, there are no signs of a storm like Emma that we saw recently, snow fall amounts are not forecast to be anything like what we saw but areas that see heavy showers could see accumulations of snow.
It’s too far out to get into the finer details, so for now prepare for a very wet and windy day tomorrow and then start to plan for a cold weekend with some snow showers in Eastern areas.
