A soft morning with rain widespread across the country but mainly light. A low of 11.2c at my station but turning milder and humid today, station is offline at present due to power fault in Tullow area.
A cloudy damp day ahead with light rain on and off but most of the rainfall will start north of Carlow.
Meanwhile the latest images of #Ernesto show below which is expected to become a post-tropical cyclone today and then become extratropical as it merges with a frontal zone on Saturday before moving through Ireland Saturday night bringing some rain along with strong breeze.
Rainfall amounts will be small though in general and it will clear by Sunday morning in plenty of time for the Tullow Show 😁
